About Us

Oliver Bennett, a certified Coast Guard rated captain, used good, old-fashioned ingenuity to create the standard in marine engine compartment bilge heaters. Please read his Founders Statement to learn more about his vision and the history of our unique marine bilge heaters..

Oliver has since sold BoatSafe, Inc., but he still plays an integral role in the company. The two new owners carry on Oliver’s passion for boating. Each came to the company from a different direction, and each brings their own unique perspectives to BoatSafe, Inc.

One partner is the father of a very active family who enjoys water sports on the ocean and on the lake. His desire to get in a few extra weeks at the beginning and at the end of each boating season, along with the occasional winter day, brought BoatSafe® bilge heaters to his attention.

The other partner is a lifetime boater with a love of both powerboats and sailing. He found BoatSafe^® bilge heaters while searching for winter protection for his unique working model boat, the USS Knight (seen in photo below).
